MENO is a platform for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, cloud kitchens, dessert shops, supermarkets, grocery stores, retail shops, product sellers, and other businesses that need a customer-facing digital menu or shop.
In MENO, you can create a branded customer experience, build and organize your catalog, manage prices and item options, add outlets and menus, and receive customer orders. Customers place their order in MENO. If WhatsApp ordering is enabled for an outlet, MENO then prompts the customer to open WhatsApp with a prefilled message and an order link; the order is already recorded in MENO before the customer sends that message.
MENO supports two workspace types: Restaurant and Retail. Most dashboard functions are shared, while some setup fields depend on the workspace type.
What you will set up
After a new account or workspace enters MENO setup, the onboarding wizard guides you through the essential information for your workspace and first outlet:
- Confirm your business details. Review the legal/company name and display name entered during registration or workspace creation. Correct them if needed, then select Get Started.
- Choose workspace languages. You can select multiple languages from MENO’s available language list. Custom languages are not available.
- Choose your business type. Restaurant workspaces can select up to three cuisines, and Retail workspaces can select up to three business types. You can add a custom cuisine or business type.
- Personalize the welcome screen. Add your logo, primary color, welcome background, and overlay settings.
- Add items. Import items from Excel, or create one item manually. For a manual item, a name and price are required; other available item fields are optional.
- Create your first outlet. Configure its general details, address, contacts, opening hours, and first menu.
- Finish setup. Once the outlet and menu are created, you can view the outlet link and QR code, then select Finish to go to the Dashboard.
Prepare these details before you begin
Having the following information available will make setup quicker:
- Your legal/company name and the customer-facing display name.
- The languages your workspace should support.
- Up to three cuisines for a Restaurant workspace, or up to three business types for a Retail workspace.
- Brand assets and choices: a logo, primary color, welcome background, and overlay settings.
- Your first item details. If you create it manually, prepare at least its name and price. If your items are already in a spreadsheet, use the Excel import route instead.
- First outlet information: outlet name, description, country, and currency. Decide whether to enable WhatsApp ordering; if you do, have the WhatsApp order number ready.
- Outlet address, contact methods, social links, and opening hours.
- Your first menu’s name, cover image, and the items to include. Where the normal menu flow supports it, you can set a custom price.
Continue later if needed
Many onboarding steps offer Skip for now or Finish Later. Skipping a step does not complete it. MENO saves your progress, and the Dashboard shows a Complete your setup banner while onboarding remains incomplete. Select Continue from that banner to resume at the first incomplete or skipped step.
After the Add Items step is successfully completed by either import or manual creation, it is treated as complete for onboarding. Returning to that step shows a success state rather than allowing another onboarding item to be created. This limit applies only to onboarding; it does not change the normal Items page.
