MENO’s notification center keeps order events in one place so you can identify orders that still need review. Use it to open the relevant order, understand how the unread state is cleared, and check the available order-alert controls.
Review an order from a notification
Select an order notification to open the related order. You can also open an order from the notifications center. The order page shows the recorded order information. Depending on the order, this includes the items, quantities, variations, required options, optional extras/add-ons, and prices. It also shows the bill summary and relevant customer and order details, such as the total, order type, payment-method choice, customer/contact information, and delivery-address data where applicable.
Opening the order also clears that order’s unread notification state. Review the order when you are ready to act on it so the unread state accurately reflects which orders still need attention.
Understand read and unread order notifications
MENO marks an order as read when a merchant opens it from one of the relevant order entry points. The same read-state result applies whether you:
- Click the notification for the order.
- Click the order in the left pane or list on the Orders page.
- Open the order from the notifications center.
In each case, opening the order clears its unread notification state. You do not need to use a separate read action after opening the order.
Check order alerts
The notifications area can indicate that order sound/alerts are active. It also provides a test-sound action. Use the test-sound action when you need to confirm the order alert sound.
If your workspace uses Outlet Operators, their order-related access for assigned outlets includes viewing notifications, viewing orders, opening order details, and changing order status. This role does not grant unrelated catalog or workspace-management access.
Use notifications with the Orders page
Notifications and the Orders page both provide ways to open an order. If you open an order from the Orders page list instead of from the notification center, its unread notification state is still cleared. This lets you work from the Orders page without leaving the associated order notification marked unread.
Keep notifications actionable
Use unread order notifications as a prompt to review the associated order. Once you open the order, MENO clears the unread state, helping you distinguish orders you have already reviewed from those that still need attention. The notification center therefore supports the operational flow of finding and opening order details without changing the order itself.
