MENO supports three ways to handle delivery charges for an outlet: a zone-based delivery fee, free delivery, or a manual delivery fee. Choose the approach that matches how you price delivery for that outlet.
Zone-based delivery fees
Use delivery zones when the delivery charge depends on where the customer is located. Each zone is an outlet-level geographic coverage rule with its own commercial settings. MENO evaluates the customer’s selected delivery location against the outlet’s configured zones and can apply the fee for the matching zone.
A delivery zone includes:
- Zone Name
- Country
- Delivery Fee
- An optional Free Over (free-delivery) threshold
- A coverage definition, using City / Multiple Cities or Draw on Map
An outlet can have more than one delivery zone, so you can apply different fees to different areas. For example, one area can have one delivery fee and another area can have a different fee. Use City / Multiple Cities for broad coverage, or Draw on Map when you need precise coverage within a city.
When delivery zones are enabled, customers must select or confirm a delivery location before continuing. Their selected address or geographic point is checked against the configured zones. Once the delivery fee is known, it can appear in the customer’s bill summary.
Offer free delivery above a threshold
A zone can include an optional Free Over threshold. When a qualifying order amount meets the threshold you configured, the delivery fee for that zone can become free.
This threshold belongs to the individual zone. That lets you set different free-delivery offers for different delivery areas if needed. MENO confirms that the qualifying order amount must meet the configured threshold; it does not define a more detailed tax or subtotal composition rule for that amount.
You can also use the separate free-delivery approach instead of delivery-zone fee calculation. When free delivery is selected, the delivery charge is zero according to that configuration.
Use a manual delivery fee
Choose the manual-fee approach when you want to allow delivery without MENO calculating a final delivery charge. In this path, delivery-zone enforcement and automated fee calculation are not used.
Customers are not blocked at the intro page by a zone check and can continue to the menu. MENO can indicate in customer-facing billing that delivery fees may apply, but the merchant and customer calculate and finalize the delivery charge outside MENO.
The same applies to delivery fulfilment: MENO does not act as the delivery or logistics provider. Agree any manual delivery charge and fulfilment arrangement directly with the customer.
Check your fee setup per outlet
Delivery zones and their fees are configured at the outlet level. Review each outlet’s zones, delivery fees, and Free Over thresholds so the commercial rule for each delivery area is intentional. If multiple zones cover the same customer location, MENO’s zone-precedence behavior is not specified; do not rely on an assumed overlap rule when setting fees.
