Your outlet’s timezone and opening hours determine whether it is shown as open or closed to customers. Together, these settings control whether customers can place orders at a given time while the outlet remains enabled.
Configure the timezone
Open the outlet you want to update and locate its timezone and opening-hours settings. Select the timezone that matches where the outlet operates.
MENO uses the outlet’s configured timezone together with its configured opening hours to calculate its current Open or Closed status. The same settings determine the status displayed to customers in the Outlet Info area.
Check this setting carefully for every outlet. A workspace can contain multiple outlets, and outlet configuration includes opening hours and timezone. The selected timezone should reflect the outlet’s local time so its hours are evaluated as intended.
Set the weekly opening hours
Set the outlet’s weekly schedule to reflect the times it accepts orders. Review the schedule for each day so it matches the outlet’s regular trading pattern.
MENO uses the configured weekly hours to determine the outlet’s current status. Customers can see the current Open/Closed state and can expand the opening-hours section in the Outlet Info area to view the full weekly schedule. Update the schedule whenever the outlet’s regular hours change.
What customers experience when the outlet is closed
An outlet that is closed by its opening hours remains available to customers. Its normal customer-facing experience still loads, so customers can:
- Browse menus.
- Add items to the cart.
However, while the outlet is closed, customers cannot complete checkout or place an order. The closed state prevents ordering, but does not prevent customers from viewing the menu or building a cart.
When the configured opening hours indicate that the outlet is open again, customers can complete checkout and place an order through the normal customer flow. Use the opening-hours schedule for regular daily or weekly availability.
Closed is different from disabled
Do not use the opening-hours schedule and the outlet’s enabled/disabled state interchangeably.
| Outlet state | What customers can do |
| Closed by opening hours | The normal outlet experience loads. Customers can browse menus and add items to the cart, but cannot complete checkout or place an order. |
| Disabled | The normal customer-facing outlet experience does not render. Customers see a dedicated Outlet Disabled page instead. |
Use opening hours when the outlet should be temporarily unavailable according to its regular schedule. Use the enabled/disabled setting when you need the normal customer-facing outlet experience to be unavailable altogether. Disabling an outlet does not simply prevent checkout: it replaces the normal outlet experience with the dedicated disabled page.
Before changing a setting, choose the state that matches the outcome you need. A closed outlet lets customers browse without completing an order. A disabled outlet does not show the normal customer-facing experience.
