When a customer cannot open your outlet, first check what they see at the customer-facing link. The two most relevant causes have different messages and different fixes: the outlet may be disabled, or the workspace may have moved to the free state after an unpaid subscription.
Identify the cause
Use this checklist before making changes:
- [ ] Does the customer see an Outlet Disabled page? The outlet itself is disabled. Its normal customer experience will not render.
- [ ] Does the customer-facing link return a 404/unavailable result? Check the workspace subscription. This is the expected customer-link behaviour when a workspace is in the free state.
- [ ] Can customers still browse and place orders, but you cannot edit catalog or outlet information? The workspace may be in the 30-day grace period after an invoice became due. Customer links and orders remain available during this period.
- [ ] Can customers browse and add items to the cart, but not check out? This is a different issue: the outlet may be closed according to its configured opening hours, rather than disabled or affected by subscription status.
If the outlet is disabled
A disabled outlet does not show the normal menu or ordering experience. Instead, customers see the dedicated Outlet Disabled page.
- In the dashboard, go to Locations and open Outlets.
- Find the outlet that matches the customer-facing link or QR code being used.
- Check whether that outlet is disabled. Enable the outlet so that its normal customer-facing experience can render again.
- Open the outlet’s customer-facing link or scan its QR code to verify the result.
An outlet that is merely closed is not disabled: customers can still browse its menus and add items to the cart, but they cannot complete checkout or place an order until the outlet is open.
If the subscription has expired
After an invoice becomes due, MENO starts a 30-day grace period. During the grace period, customers can still access customer-facing links, browse, and order, although workspace users cannot edit the catalog or outlets until the invoice is paid.
If the grace period ends without payment, the workspace moves to the free state. Customer-facing links are disabled and return a 404/unavailable result, and product operations are blocked. Workspace data is preserved.
To restore access:
- Ask the workspace Owner to open Settings → Billing. Billing is not available to Admins or lower roles.
- Review the current plan and billing history to identify the unpaid invoice.
- Pay the pending invoice.
- Purchase or activate a subscription again.
- Test the customer-facing outlet link after the subscription has been restored.
If the link shows the Outlet Disabled page, resolve the outlet status. If it returns 404/unavailable after an unpaid grace period, complete the subscription restoration steps instead.
