When delivery zones are enabled for an outlet, MENO checks the customer’s selected map point or address against that outlet’s configured delivery zones. An address can be unavailable because it is outside the current outlet’s coverage, because it should be fulfilled by another outlet, or because no outlet serves that location.

Check the delivery setup for the current outlet

First, identify the outlet whose customer-facing link the customer opened. Delivery settings and delivery zones are configured per outlet, so a zone created for one outlet does not establish coverage for another outlet.

Review the current outlet’s delivery configuration and its zones. A zone includes a country, a delivery fee, and optionally a Free Over threshold. The country is selected for the zone and does not have to match the workspace subscription country.

Use the coverage type that matches the intended delivery area:

  • City/Multiple Cities covers one city or a group of cities under the same delivery rule. Confirm that the required city or cities are selected.
  • Draw on Map defines precise coverage. Open the map editor and confirm that the customer’s location falls inside the area drawn on the map. A typed neighborhood name alone does not define this zone, and Draw on Map is not a fixed-radius setting.

An outlet can have several zones with different fees. If the customer’s point can fall inside more than one zone, do not rely on an assumed overlap rule; precedence for overlapping zones is not currently confirmed.

Check whether another outlet should fulfil the order

If the current outlet does not deliver to the selected location, MENO checks delivery zones for the other outlets in the same business.

If another outlet is eligible, MENO automatically chooses the nearest eligible outlet. The customer is informed that delivery is available from that outlet. The address remains selectable, and confirming it redirects the customer to that outlet’s link.

This redirection is expected behavior, not a delivery-address error. If the customer has already added items to the cart, MENO shows a warning before a cross-outlet redirect. Confirming the change clears the cart, then sends the customer to the other outlet.

Confirm what the customer sees

Use this checklist to match the customer’s experience to the delivery configuration:

  • If the current outlet delivers to the selected point, the address can be confirmed and the customer continues in that outlet.
  • If another outlet serves the point, the customer can confirm the address and is redirected to the nearest eligible outlet.
  • If no outlet serves the point, the address is disabled or unavailable for confirmation. The customer may see Outside Delivery Area or We don’t deliver to this area yet.
  • For a logged-in customer, a default saved address can be selected automatically, but the customer must still confirm it or choose another saved address.
  • For a logged-out customer, the customer can search for a location, use device location when available, or set a map pin. Phone verification happens later at checkout.

If the outlet uses manual delivery fees instead of delivery-zone enforcement, MENO does not block customers at the intro page based on a zone check. The customer can continue to the menu, and the merchant finalizes any delivery charge with the customer outside MENO. If the outlet is configured for free delivery, the delivery charge is zero under that configuration.
