Customers can find legal information for an outlet from its Outlet Info area. This information distinguishes the outlet’s own legal content from MENO’s platform legal text, so customers can understand which terms apply to the merchant and which apply to the MENO platform.
What customers see
The customer-facing legal view can contain two separate types of content:
- Merchant-authored policy content for the outlet.
- MENO platform policy content, which is static platform text.
These are presented separately. Your policy content is not merged into MENO’s platform legal text. This separation helps customers identify the merchant’s information independently of MENO’s terms.
Understanding the Last updated date
A Last updated date may appear in the legal view. This date refers to the date when the merchant legal content was updated.
It does not show when MENO’s static platform legal text was updated. For that reason, use the date as the currency of the merchant’s legal content only.
The role of MENO’s platform terms
MENO’s platform terms describe MENO as a technology provider. They also make clear that MENO is not responsible for the merchant’s product or service descriptions, prices, availability, or product quality, authenticity, or safety.
For food businesses, this also includes food preparation and food safety. MENO is not responsible for delivery performance or delays, customer-payment settlement, refunds or returns, merchant trustworthiness, or other merchant commercial obligations.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, commercial transactions are between the merchant and the customer. Your outlet’s legal content should therefore clearly address the information and obligations that belong to your business.
Keep merchant content appropriate
Merchant content and products must not include illegal or prohibited content. Restricted categories include pornographic content, prohibited smoking or tobacco-related content or products, illegal drugs, and addictive or controlled products where they are prohibited by applicable law. Other items that are unlawful in the relevant country or jurisdiction are also prohibited.
The approved MENO Terms and Acceptable Use language governs the exact legal wording and restrictions.
