A menu is a curated set of catalog items shown through an outlet. In MENO, the relationship is Workspace → Outlets → Menus → Categories → Items. Your workspace catalog is primarily shared, while each outlet can use its menus to control the items it presents.
Create the catalog items you need before building a menu. You can then select those items for the appropriate outlet menu.
Create a menu for an outlet
- Open the outlet where you want the menu to appear and go to its menu configuration.
- Create a menu.
- Enter the menu name.
- Add a cover image for the menu.
- Select the catalog items to include in that menu.
- Where the menu creation flow offers it, set a custom price for an included item.
- Save the menu configuration.
The items available to select come from the workspace catalog. A menu does not create a new copy of an item; it chooses which existing catalog items are included for that outlet.
Choose the right items
Use menu selection to shape the range that customers see at a particular outlet. This is useful when outlets share the same catalog but do not offer the same selection.
Items can have a default price, variation-based pricing, or a sale price in the shared catalog. MENO also supports outlet or menu custom pricing where configured. Set a custom menu price only when that option is available in the menu flow.
Categories organize items and can help customers navigate a menu. An item assigned to more than one category can appear under each of its assigned categories. Tags can also be used for customer-facing filtering.
Manage an existing menu
Return to the outlet’s menu configuration when you need to change its composition. Review the selected catalog items and update the selection so the menu reflects what that outlet should offer.
Because the catalog is shared at workspace level, changes to shared catalog structures can affect other outlets that use them. Treat the menu as the outlet-level layer that determines the curated set of items presented there.
You can also review any configured custom prices while managing the menu. Keep the menu’s item selection and any available custom pricing aligned with the outlet’s current offering.
Check the customer-facing result
A menu is shown through its outlet’s customer-facing experience. An active outlet has a customer-facing link and QR code that open its intro page. Use the outlet link or QR code to confirm that the intended menu items are available for customers to browse.
If an outlet is disabled, its normal customer-facing experience does not render; customers see an Outlet Disabled page instead. If the outlet is closed based on its configured opening hours, customers can still browse menus and add items to the cart, but they cannot complete checkout or place an order while it is closed.
